When photography was first invented, there werent SD Cards, USB ports, and Megapixels. There was film grain, f-stop, chemicals and Photoshop wasnt even a dream in the eyes of the ancestors of Adobe. Real photography, analogue photography, takes film, chemicals, a dark room and a good combination of light and time. Today, the world of photography is being overrun with digital processes that are making George Eastman roll in his grave. With the click of a button, we now have a photograph printed with ink and captured with a computer. This isnt the way photography was intended to be and we know that there are those of you who agree with us. So, we wanted to dedicate one magazine title to the exhibition of fine art photography but only in the form of analogue. Here photography isnt defined in terms of pixel and megapixel, but as contact prints, gelatin silvers, platinums, cyanotypes, large format, medium format, 35mm, etc. Analogue Photography Magazine strives to bring you the best exhibition of film-based fine art photography in six issues every year.
